Safety in AYSO

Safe Haven

Every AYSO Region is required to have a Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA). This person is responsible for making sure the region is following the procedures of AYSO's Safe Haven program.

Safe Haven has been put in place to protect AYSO players and the volunteers who serve them. It requires that each AYSO volunteer complete and eSign a volunteer application each and every year, agreeing to background checks and to abide by the philosophies and policies of AYSO.

Please click here for more information on Safe Haven and requirements for AYSO volunteers.

Severe Weather Safety

AYSO Region 1634 follows AYSO guidelines regarding practicing and playing in inclement weather. Click here to read through the national guidelines. In the event that the fields need to be cleared due to lightning or any other reason, the preferred areas of shelter are:

- Your vehicle (except in the case of extreme winds or tornado warnings)
- The public restrooms next to the east parking lot
- Inside the Kroc Center (as directed by a Kroc staff and/or AYSO board member).
